In the unique Albertina palace, part of the Vienna Hofburg, you can enjoy one of the most comprehensive Mark Chagall exhibitions until 9 February. His fantastically poetic pictorial worlds continue to fascinate and his artistic work, which straddles the boundaries between tradition and avant-garde, has had a significant influence on the development of art in the 20th century.

In February and March follow the juxtaposition of Matthew Wong and Vincent van Gogh "Painting as a Last Resort" (from 14 February) as well as the exhibition "Leonardo to Dürer" Master Drawings of the Renaissance, largely from the Albertina's rarely shown collection. And to top it all off, we recommend a visit to the Habsburg Residence State Rooms in the magnificent, classicist Albertina wing.

The Belvedere, Prince Eugene's baroque garden palace in Vienna's fourth district, is an architectural jewel and houses an outstanding collection of Austrian and European art. With the motto ‘from Cranach to Lassnig’, the collection presentation is dedicated to the interactions between art and society. Highlights include ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt and ‘The Family’ by Egon Schiele. The Lower Belvedere shows special exhibitions such as the baroque character heads by Messerschmidt and Belvedere 21 is dedicated to contemporary art.

The mumok, an architectural landmark in the MuseumsQuartier, not only stands out with its minimalist, rugged exterior, but also with the quality of its collection and the current special exhibitions. The striking, dark grey basalt cuboid impresses with its spacious interior and the interconnected room units. They house an extraordinary collection with major works of classical modernism, Pop Art, Fluxus, conceptual art and Viennese Actionism, as well as current contemporary art with its film and media references. In addition to the collection, the exhibitions Liliane Lijn - ‘Arise Alive’ until 4 May, Medardo Rosso - ‘The Invention of Modern Sculpture’ until 23 February and ‘Mapping the 60s’ - Art Stories from the Mumok Collection until 10 May are currently on display
