URBANAUTS is particularly proud to cooperate with the outstanding MusikTheater an der Wien. After a two years complete renovation it has been recently reopend. It is one of the most beautiful and traditional theaters in Vienna. Founder and theater impresario Emanuel Schikaneder had the house built in 1801 in the spirit of Mozart. Over the last 200 years, a large number of important operas, singspiels, operettas and musicals have premiered here, including Beethoven's only opera Fidelio.
In 2006, the City of Vienna took over the opera house located in the 6th district of Mariahilf. Since then it has been presenting contemporary and entertaining musical theater with high standards, anchored between tradition and innovation.

To mark the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss' birth in 2025, his operetta "Das Spitzentuch der Königin" will return on January 18th to the stage of its world premiere 145 years ago. The Waltz King's seventh operetta in 1880 immediately became his greatest success to date, as it was obviously a parody of the rebellious Crown Prince Rudolf, whose liberal ideas were causing trouble for the Habsburg monarchy.
